Updating from a Previous MapSpeller™ 4.0 Build

Recap, The Situation:

MapSpeller is to be installed on a PC that has:

  1. ArcGIS 10.0 installed and in working condition, and

  2. A previous build of MapSpeller 4.0 already installed (NOT an earlier version)

The Solution

  1. Print this procedure.

  2. Save the new MapSpeller 4.0.4072 Esri add-in (5 Mb)  to a location that is accessible to all PCs and all people who will be running MapSpeller.

  3. Each user should then:

    1. Delete his/her installed Add-In from ArcMap. Only delete the add-in, NOT the dependencies or installation keycodes.
       
    2. Close ArcMap.
       
    3. Double-click on the .esriaddin file from within the unzipped package.
       

    4. Click OK on the dialog that acknowledges successful add-in installation.
       

    5. The new add-in should be ready to go. However, Edgetech recommends that users double-check the add-in version in the ArcMap Add-In Manager and in the form Options dialog. They should be in sync.
