July 2008	ESRI releases ArcGIS 9.3. Edgetech releases MapSpeller 9.3.1663 which is an upgrade for the ArcMap 9.3 extension. MapSpeller 9.3.1663 is compatible with ArcGIS Desktop 9.2 and 9.3 running on Windows XP and Vista 32-bit.

April 2008	Edgetech America, Inc. has been awarded a contract by the County of Henrico, VA to teach a variety of client-site GIS classes to its staff. The contract is initially for one year. It is renewable for four additional years.

March 2008	VDOT optimizes its training investment by taking advantage of Edgetech's new training bundles to register its staff to a variety of ArcGIS classes across Virginia. VDOT is thereby benefiting from volume pricing, personalized instruction and minimizing its travel expenses.

March 19, 2007	Edgetech demonstrates MapSpeller for ArcGIS at the booth #606 in the EXPO area of the 2007 ESRI Worldwide Business Partner Conference in Palm Springs, CA.

January 2007	Edgetech America, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has filed for a U.S. patent for, and reserved international filling rights to, a GIS map spell checking and correction system.

May 2005	ESRI ranks Mr. Denis Roose Top ESRI Authorized Instructor in the USA for the fourth quarter 2004.

February 2005	Edgetech receives the 2005 ESRI Foundation Partner Award. Sept. 2004	Edgetech now offers a new 1-day course developed in-house: ArcGIS 9 Latest Developments.

Q2 2004	Denis Roose is ranked Top 2 ESRI Authorized Instructor nationwide in term of number of trainees instructed. Classes were held as far as Alaska.

May 2004	ESRI releases ArcGIS 9.0.

Feb. 2003	ESRI releases ArcGIS 8.3. Edgetech is authorized to resell the new Survey Analyst and Tracking Analyst extension to ArcGIS.

August 2002	Edgetech delivers phase 1 of a web-based room management system for a major client (800 buildings, 34,000 rooms). The project ties the ArcIMS GIS map server with a SQL Server database and IIS web server to deliver thematic floor plan maps dynamically to thin HTML/JavaScript clients. This involves programming in ASP, SQL, HTML and JavaScript.

December 2001	Edgetech teaches its first three-day ESRI Introduction to ArcGIS II (for ArcView, ArcEditor and ArcInfo) course.

November 2001	Edgetech teaches its first two-day ESRI Migrating to ArcView 8 course.

October 2001	Edgetech teaches its first two-day ESRI Introduction to ArcGIS I (for ArcView, ArcEditor and ArcInfo) course.

May 2001	ESRI releases ArcView 8.1, the ArcGIS version of the leading GIS software.

February - April 2001	Edgetech develops the Virginia's official redistricting web site. The site includes an interactive mapping component driven by the ArcIMS software.

December 2000	Edgetech's Mastering ArcView GIS training manual and exercise CD is now available for self-teaching. Edgetech 2001 off-site training schedule is now available.

October - November 2000	Edgetech reveals its new corporate image at the Virginia GIS Conference and on the Web.


June 2000	Edgetech becomes authorized to resell ESRI's ArcIMS and RouteMAP IMS.

April 2000	Our GIS courses are some of the best rated in the country. Nine out of ten trainees have consistently rated them "Excellent" or "Very Good". Here is what one of our April student wrote on his course evaluation form: "The course was one of the best I have ever attended. I was concerned at first (before the course started) we would merely walk through the manual. The background and tangential information that was provided was great. Finally, Mr. Roose has a wonderful, warm and helpful style of teaching. He easily walked us through some very technical territory, avoiding landmines along the way."

March 2000	Edgetech successfully completes several GIS projects for the insurance, telecommunication and utility industries.
October 1999	Edgetech has started offering two new courses developed in-house: Advanced ArcView Topics (1 day) Mastering ArcView GIS (3 days)

June 1999	Edgetech develops an easy-to-use ArcView interface that enables employees at the Bureau of Transportation Statistics to quickly create and print cartographic-quality maps for the U.S. Secretary of Transportation and others.

May 1999	Edgetech develops the ArcView Irth™ Theme Loader extension for AGT International, the American leader in "Call Before You Dig" utility software. This extension loads GDT Dynamap 2000 files into ArcView, transparently sets the themes' display properties (colors and fonts, display and labeling scale thresholds, etc.) and automatically labels the themes within their appropriate labeling threshold scales. Labels are automatically refreshed when users pan or zoom the map. The extension is easily customizable to meet customer needs.

April 1999	Edgetech develops an ArcView front-end for the City of Norfolk, VA's real-time traffic monitoring system under contract with Bi Tran Systems, Inc. Fiber optic cable connects the city's traffic light controllers to this centralized monitoring system. The QuicNet™ ArcView interface offers several views, from a city-wide perspective of the traffic situation to a detailed, intersection-by-intersection view (screen snapshot). Relevant and "live" status information is also displayed within those views (lower right corner of image).
