System dictionaries are the primary
language dictionaries. They are shared by all users on a PC. They can't
be edited and typically contain around 100,000 words in a single
language.
The current version of MapSpeller supports only the American English language. Through the MapSpeller Speller Settings
in the Options dialog, users can either decide to use that language or
none.
Users can also decide to use their
personal dictionaries (also called user dictionary).
Personal dictionaries are also language dependant. Therefore, each user
has potentially one for each system dictionary language setting
available. So with the current of MapSpeller, each user would
potentially have an American English personal dictionary (User_English (USA).dic) and
a personal dictionary (User_None.dic), when no language dictionary is
used. Personal dictionaries are located in the
users'
Windows profile as indicated on the Options form.
The
danger dictionary that will be automatically be used also to the
language dictionary selected.
- When the American English language is turned on, the Danger_English (USA).dic
is used
- When no language dictionary is set, the Danger_None.dic is used
