The spell checking engine can be tuned in many ways: users can select which language system dictionary and personal dictionary to use, what types of words to ignore, and how to use their personal locationary, if any. In addition, the Spelling Options dialog lets users control how many suggestions will be given for fixing typos, and if the spell checking extension should automatically save the map document before running.
