MapSpeller for ArcGIS:
Making Sure a Specific Suggestion Is Offered

If users encounter the same typos repeatedly and want to make sure to get their correctly spelled suggestions in the Potential Typos context menus, they should manually add a line in their user dictionary as illustrated in the figure.

The typo should be placed on a new line, it should be followed by a tab, and then a lowercase letter "c" directly followed by the correct spelling. Optimally, this newly created line should be moved so the dictionary remains sorted alphabetically.

Dictionaries are case sensitive. Words should be sorted alphabetically in the dictionary to optimize spell checking speed.
