Edgetech
America, Inc.
is pleased to present the world's first GIS spell checker,
MapSpeller for ArcGIS. MapSpeller is a geographically-smart spell
checker.
The MapSpeller extension
is for all ArcGIS Desktop users who want to avoid the embarrassment,
delays and costs of typos on their maps. It checks for, and suggests corrections to, spelling
errors in and around GIS maps using patent-pending processes.
Simple to
install and
easy to use, the MapSpeller extension is an
ingenious and effective tool
that will quickly pay for itself by saving users the cost of expensive
reprints.
GIS map layouts contain many different textual objects that could contain typographic
errors. Typos can exist in annotation graphics, layer labels, annotation
feature classes but also in legends, grouped graphics, scale bars,
tables, graphs, etc.
MapSpeller version 9.3.1663 will spell check text in
annotation graphics
directly, and labels,
annotation feature classes,
grouped graphics indirectly (See Tips & Tricks). Direct support for
additional types of objects containing text is planned for future
releases. The current version of MapSpeller comes with an American
English dictionary and the ability to build a
personal dictionary and
locationary. Edgetech has plans for adding multi-lingual support and
other types of locationaries in future versions. The MapSpeller
toolbar is delivered as a single-user ArcMap extension. It is priced per
PC when running locally
on a PC, or per terminal user login when running from a terminal server. It is
compatible with both Single and Concurrent Use versions of ArcView,
ArcEditor and ArcInfo. See the
licensing agreement for exact terms and additional important information. |
