Version 4.0

   MapSpeller Personal Locationaries

Personal Locationaries are a type of Locationary and complement other types of dictionaries.

MapSpeller 4.0 users are able to store Locationary features (words with their minimum geographic extent of validity) in their own multilingual personal Locationary.

The name of the personal Locationary is User_Polygon_Locationary. The personal Locationary is always listed in the the Locationary list of the Options dialog. It can't be removed from the list, but can be activated or deactivated by:

  1. Turning the checkbox that precedes the name of the Locationary on or off
  2. Specifying the Spatial Search parameter (to a value different from Off)

Adding Words to Your Personal Locationary

Words can be added to the personal Locationary of the logged in person by using one of the following methods:

  • From the Potential Errors dialog, select the Add to Locationary command

  • From the Potential Errors dialog, use the Error Editor

The extent of the Locationary feature that is saved depends on the type of object containing the spelling. It will be the:

  • Flash rectangle, when the spelling is part of an annotation graphic
  • Polygonal boundary, when the spelling is a polygonal feature
  • Envelope, when the spelling is a linear feature
  • One-meter buffer, when the spelling is a point feature.

Removing Words from Your Personal Locationary

Words can be removed from a personal Locationary of the currently logged-in person by using one of the following methods:

  • Editing the Locationary manually.
