MapSpeller™ 3.0 System Requirements |

The MapSpeller extension requires that one of the following
products be installed and running properly: ArcView® Single User (SU) or
Concurrent User (CU), ArcEditor™ (CU or SU) or ArcInfo® (CU).
For proper visual feedback when proofing table with MapSpeller 3.0,
users must have ArcMap 9.3.1 with the Service Pack 1
or 2 (Build 3500 or higher) installed.
The ArcGIS Desktop 9.3.1 Service Pack 1 can be downloaded free of charge from the Esri website at http://support.Esri.com/index.cfm?fa=downloads.patchesServicePacks.viewPatch&PID=17&MetaID=1576 (On that page search for "ArcGISDesktop931sp1.msp"). You will need to login on the Esri website. Users unable or unwilling to upgrade their ArcGIS software to 9.3.1.3500 or 9.3.1.4500 can still use MapSpeller 3.0.3080 to spell-check the layout page, or they can use MapSpeller 2.1.2320, although technical support is only available on the latest release. Hard disk space and in-memory requirements are minimal. The download installation package is about 21 MB when uncompressed. When installed, the extension takes about 8 MB of disk space. The extension only adds a small in-memory footprint. MapSpeller 3.0 and earlier versions will not run on ArcGIS 10. MapSpeller 3.1 will.
